Buschow Henley are interested in what might be described as a palpably sustainable architecture, one that has a human, ethical and cultural dimension.
We are committed to contributing to the ecological
well being of the processes on which life depends as well as maintaining
the intrinsic values of the natural environment. On this basis we
have defined a six aims to achieve this goal:
to improve the quality of the built environment
to increase awareness of environmental issues
to maximise the health and comfort of building users
to minimise the consumption of resources, especially non-renewable
resources, and minimise consumption by designing for durability
to minimise pollution of air, soil and water
to maintain and, where it has been disturbed, restore biodiversity
On this basis we have developed a set of principles which provide a step-by-step approach to achieving this goal.
If you would like further information regarding these aims please contact the practice.
