Buschow Henley’s office and workplace designs mix observation, exploration and innovation with a deep understanding of the corporate and individual requirements necessary to provide successful working environments.

Our reputation was built early on developing innovative solutions for the changing workplace of the 1990’s. Our first project for Michealides & Bednash was chosen as just one of 20 exemplars worldwide in the book ‘The New Office’. This led to more substantial commissions from Go Airlines, Ogilvy & Mather, Wolff Olins and more recently new build office projects commissioned by Unilever, Lake Estates and the Peabody Trust.

In 2002 we won an RIBA Award for Architecture for our offices for TalkBack; part conversion part new build, this 6-storey scheme is organized around a garden, lined with terraces, decks and bridges. The design was derived from a simple circulation and natural ventilation strategy. Although TalkBack’s offices are less than 200m from Oxford Street there is a tranquil atmosphere.

Our research in practice leads the client to a less prescriptive brief, which provides a strong mandate for our designs.

Buschow Henley’s work in office design is internationally recognized and we have won numerous awards including an RIBA Award for Architecture, a Design Council Award, Design Week “Workplace Environments’ Awards and a D&AD; Silver Award for the Most Outstanding Design for the Workplace.
